  • Coloring in Complexity

Devon’s craft is about making magic with metaphors. She affectionately terms her work, “coloring in complexity”, but professionally calls herself a live scribe. Her approach involves seamlessly merging her inquisitiveness about individuals, their ideas, and the world around them with her illustration skills.

Devon’s journey to her line of work is where she really separates herself from the industry. She studied Philosophy in Sweden, and then earned a Master of Business Innovation from the Kaospilots school in Denmark. Following her education, Devon began her live scribing career with Global Leadership Foundation, where she honed her skills as a facilitator, focusing on developing emotional health in communities. Devon continues to serve as a Fellow of Global Leadership Foundation, where she integrates leadership and emotional health into her work as a live scribe.

Devon has been working as a live scribe for nearly a decade. She has worked with indigenous women in Australia’s outback, boards of major tech companies, and policymakers at the highest levels of government around the world. Her aim is to bring understanding, insight and ah ha! moments to as many gathering spaces as possible.

Devon’s work has made a lasting impact. It has been featured in the Museum of Australian Democracy in Australian Parliament, been published in Harvard’s Health and Human Rights journal, and has even been auctioned for a US presidential campaign.
